Research In Motion is fighting to retain business customers by giving away it's BlackBerry Enterprise Server software to small and medium business customers for free.
The Blackberry express server syncs Blackberry phones with Microsoft Exchange or Windows Small Business servers. The main benefits to the server is that it provides access to corporate email and adds a level of security.
Previously the company charged a fee for the server. The free version will now also include include access to email, calendar, contacts, notes, and tasks. The free version also uses the same security architecture as the paid version.
