SSL for Google App Custom Domain Names

Google has promoted a new feature to developer testing: SSL for custom domains with Google Apps. The company is currently looking for trusted testers to help with two versions of the feature launch:

• Virtual IP (VIP)
• Server Name Indication (SNI) - The less expensive of the two options

The "VIP" virtual IP service will work with all browsers that support SSL, unlike it's much cheaper counterpart, SNI, which will have some browser limitations.  Both the VIP and SNI options will support wildcard certificates and certificates with alternate names.
